Life, the harmonic resonance from matter and energy, has originated in the beat of the nature. Over an immeasurably long period of time for us, this beat consisted essentially of the primordial rhythms: Day and night, new and full moon and - depending on the geographical latitude - spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Only since a vanishingly small time, measured by the age of life on earth itself, we have begun to be determined by artificial rhythms. The daily rhythm is diluted by artificial light and lack of rest. The seasons play an ever smaller role in our daily lives and the lunar cycle disappears between brightly lit streets and artificial calendars.
We clock our everyday life in weeks to which there is no natural equivalent. A month is about as long as a lunar cycle and a week is about a quarter of it. However, months and lunar cycles continuously shift against each other and the average 29.5-day rhythm of the moon has been made into a weekly cycle four times as fast - quite a lot of artificial disruption!
Many people feel rushed and stressed. The weekend is for them already around as soon as it has started and is not enough to recover. No wonder, this artificially accelerated clock was not there the previous 99.999...% of the time in which life has developed after all.
There we probably have not paid enough attention, as that was foisted on us ;)
Reconnection with nature.
Back to prehistoric times, few will want permanently. But we can rediscover the essential qualities and the connection with nature and integrate them into our modern life!
